We have a duty to stand up and continue to fight for a just and livable planet for all. We will continue to mobilize to build a world free of wars, and atrocities, and the ravages of the climate crisis. We will continue to bring solutions and alternatives to fight against climate change.

While taking into account the exceptional circumstances, we believe that COP21 can not take place without the participation or without the mobilizations of civil society in France. Thus, we will implement all our efforts to hold all the mobilizations currently planned. In consultation with the authorities, we will continue to ensure the security of all participants is guaranteed.

It’s important to remember that this mobilization will be global: hundreds of thousands of people will mobilize during the two weeks of negotiations of the COP21 and representatives from countries the world over will be present in Paris. The whole world is concerned and we will not ignore these issues.

About the Coalition Climat 21 :

Coalition Climat 21 was created in 2014 by the RAC (Climate Action Network France), the CRID (the Development Research and Information Center)
and ATTAC France. It originated from the failure of the Copenhagen conference in 2009 and the hijacking of the Warsaw conference in 2013 by industry interests, which caused NGOs to walk out of the COP.
Today, it gathers more than 130 civil society organisations from labour unions to associations for international solidarity, including religious organisations, NGOs defending human rights and the environment, as well as social movements. Together, these organisations affirm that the negotiations, though a necessary step, will not be enough to combat climate disruption and its resulting inequities, as we have been shown over the past 20 years. That is why they are calling on to citizens to take advantage of the political and media exposure offered by the COP21 to organise and mobilise in great number in order to together launch a strong and sustainable movement for climate justice. Open to all, this movement finds its strength in its diversity.

Press contact Coalition Climat 21 :
Méryl Sotty : Press officer
Tel. 06 33 15 04 93 / Mail. m.sotty@coalitionclimat21.org

Members of the Coalition Climat 21 :
350.org, ACF – Action Contre la Faim, Actionaid, AderOC décroissance, Agenda 21 Afrique – A21A, Agir pour l’Environnement, AITEC – Association Internationale de Techniciens, Experts et Chercheurs, Agrisud, ALDER – Climat Energie, ACIPA, Adéquations, Alofa Tuvalu, Alternatiba, Altertour, Les Amis de la Conf, Les Amis de la Terre, Les Amis d’Enercoop, les Assises musulmanes de l’Ecologie, Ahtarame, Apiflordev, Association Espace Vision, Artisans du Monde, Association des Médecins Français pour la Prévention de la Guerre Nucléaire – AMFPGN, Association des Populations de Montagnes du Monde, Association 4D, ATTAC, Attention Chantier, Avaaz, Bloom, Bizi !, Blue Energy, Bolivia Inti – Sud Soleil, Brahma Kumaris, Campaign Against Climate Change, CARE, CARI, Collectif Mantois et Climat, Connected by Nature, CCFD- Terre Solidaire, CFDT – Confédération Française Démocratique du Travail, CGT, CLER – Réseau pour la transition énergétique, Coalition Eau, Collectif Roosevelt, Coordination Eau Île-de-France, Coordination SUD, Confédération Paysanne, Collectif pour une Transition Citoyenne, Collectif pour les droits des femmes, Chrétiens Unis pour la Terre, CREAQ – Centre Régional d’Eco-énergétique d’Aquitaine, CRID – Centre de Recherche et d’Information pour le Développement (CRID), CIWF France, CliMates, CISPM, Coeur de Forêt, Collectif Ethique sur l’Etiquette, Comité de Solidarité avec les indiens des Amériques, CSP75, Désobéir, Droit humain France, EEUDF – Eclaireurs et Eclaireuses Unionistes de France, Effet de Serre Toi-Même Association, Emmaüs – France, Eclaireuses et éclaireurs unionistes de France, End Ecocide on Earth, Energie Partagée, Fédération protestante de France, FNE – France Nature Environnement, Fondation Copernic, Forum pour une Nouvelle Gouvernance Mondiale, Fondation Nicolas Hulot pour la Nature et l’Homme, Fondation Danielle Mitterrand – France Libertés, FSU – Fédération Syndicale Unitaire, France Amérique Latine, Geres, Générations Futures, Green Cross France & Territoires, Greenpeace, Grand Orient de France, HNNE – Haute Normandie Nature Environnement, Humanité et Biodiversité, le Laboratoire de l’Economie sociale et solidaire, L’Heureux Cyclage, Institut Momentum, Jeunes Amis pour la Terre, J’aime le vert, Je vote pour le Climat, Justice et paix, LGBTI pour le Climat, Ligue des droits de l’Homme, Le mouvement de la Paix, Les Petits Débrouillards, LPO – Ligue pour la protection des Oiseaux, la Marche Mondiale des Femmes, MFRB – Mouvement Français pour un Revenu de Base), Mouvement Utopia, le MRAP – Mouvement contre le racisme et pour l’amitié entre les peuples, MRES, Max Havelaar France, Nature Rights, Negawatt, The Noise, Oxfam France, Oui à la Transition, Oui Share, Our Voices, Pax Christi, Peuples solidaires, POC21, Plateforme pour le Commerce Equitable, RAC – Réseau Action Climat, REFEDD – Réseau Français des Etudiants pour le Développement Durable, RADSI, Réseau Ecole et Nature, Réseau Féministe Ruptures, Réseau Foi & Justice Afrique – Europe, Réseau GRAPPE, Réseau IPAM, Réseau Sortir du Nucléaire, Réseau Gubbio, Réseau Ecole et Nature, Respaix Conscience Musulmane, Ritimo, Scouts et Guides de France, Secours Catholique Caritas France, Semaine de la Solidarité internationale, Solidarité étudiante, Sciences Citoyennes, Solidarité Asso, SOS Forêt France, Stop Gaz de Schiste !
