Tribunal against Monsanto update and crowdfunding

End Ecocide is working with a number of partners on the Tribunal against Monsanto, to take place on October 12-16 this year in The Hague, Netherlands. More information about the tribunal is available here: http://www.monsanto-tribunal.org/

As you can imagine, organising a tribunal against one of the largest corporates in the world takes a lot of effort and money. The tribunal will be entirely financed by the citizens and civil organisations concerned. You can contribute now. Rights of Nature Tribunal, December 2015, Paris

Over 1,000 people participated in the conference where 80 experts from more than 30 countries presented their cases of environmental violations as mega dams, fracking, oil spills, climate crimes, and many others. The cases were based on the Universal Declaration of the Rights of Nature and on the End Ecocide Amendments proposed to the International Criminal Court... What about establishing ecocrimes in your country?

Almost one year ago, on 19 May 2015, Senate gave final approval to Environmental Protection and New Eco-Crime in Italy. The "Provisions relating to crimes against the environment" set out a new separate chapter in the Penal Code, introducing crimes against the environment as environmental pollution, environmental disaster, impeding controls and failure to decontaminate. It provides for up to fifteen years imprisonment for polluters. This is a huge victory after nearly twenty years of battle. To follow this example in other countries around the world, create a local End Ecocide group. Contact us for further details.
