Call for Papers

END ECOCIDE NIGERIA (also known as Environment Keepers Initiative) and FACULTY OF LAW, Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, Oyo State, Nigeria invite papers from the academic community, industries and other related institutions for publication in the maiden edition of the Journal of Environmental Justice and Ecocide Studies (JEJES). The purpose of the Journal is to provide a platform for researchers, academics and professionals in the broad fields of environmental law and ecocide studies. We encourage authors to approach these topics from fresh and innovative angles, whether through established methods, experimental formats, or unique interdisciplinary combinations. The Journal is published in collaboration with the Faculty of Law, Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, Oyo State, Nigeria, and shall be available online and in print. 

JEJES Policy

Submission Guidelines

Papers shall be in the form of well-researched articles, notes, and book reviews that are unpublished original works of the authors and must not have been submitted elsewhere for publication or concurrent assessment. The papers must be in English and MS Word and shall not exceed 10,000 words of A4 paper typed and double-spaced on one side only. Book reviews and other notes shall not exceed 7,000 words. Footnotes should be numbered serially at the foot of each page and single-spaced.  Abstracts shall not exceed 250 words, accompanied by a minimum of six keywords.  

To encourage clarity and coherence, we request all submissions to follow the formatting and referencing model currently in force in the Oxford Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA) or the Nigerian Association of Law Teachers (NALT) Uniform Citation Guideline available at www.naltng.org (or https://sabilaw.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/NALT-Guidebook-as-printed-in-2022-1.pdf).

Every submission must be accompanied by the authors’ names, affiliations, email addresses, and phone numbers clearly stated on separate pages.
